St. James Presbyterian Church

Presbyterian ChurchSt. James opened in 1855 and is one of the earliest churches in continuous use today. The building was sourced from Scotland for £145. The original section, the nave, with its latticed iron window frames still survives and is believed to be one of the oldest pre-fabricated buildings in Australia. Services are held each Sunday at 10.30 am. St. James is a delightful traditional setting for a wedding. Services are arranged through Pastor Ollington.

Highfield Historic Site

HighfieldsHighfield Historic Site is the perfect location for the complete wedding package. Choose to have the ceremony in the 1830’s stone chapel or on the extensive lawns, with the township of Stanley and the Nut in the background. Have photographs taken amongst the 5 acres of landscaped gardens and then relax at the reception in the rustic barn. Self catering is required for all receptions. St Paul's Anglican Church

Anglican Church BuildingThis lovely old weatherboard church was built in 1887 and is situated in Church Street, the main street of Stanley. Stained glass windows, blackwood pews and baltic pine ceiling, with red carpet in the aisle, make for an old-world ambience. Reverend Lorna Crole or John van Norden are the officiating ministers.

Star of the Sea Catholic Church

The Catholic ChurchThe Star of the Sea Catholic Church is the 3rd church to be built on this superb site, overlooking Godfrey's beach and the old Pioneer Cemetery. The brick church was commenced in 1897 and completed the following year. Please contact Father McCormack to make your wedding arrangements.

Christian Community Church

The Christian Community Church is located in Marshall Street, just off the main street, with Nut views from the front steps. The church is split-level with three steps to the upper level, where wedding ceremonies are conducted. The church can accommodate 100 guests. The carpet on the floor is a blue/grey colour. One of the church members is a celebrant and will conduct civil and Christian services.
